Atlas Mobility installs two types of platform lifts: Vertical Platform Lifts (VPL) for straight up-and-down travel, and Inclined Platform Lifts (IPL) for travel along an existing staircase. Vertical Platform Lifts (VPL)

Straight up. No stairs required.

Vertical Platform Lifts travel directly up and down between two levels — making them perfect for raised porches, decks, garage-to-home transitions, and split-level entrances where a ramp simply isn’t practical. Compact and straightforward to install, a VPL delivers reliable floor-to-floor access without the complexity or cost of a residential elevator.

Inclined Platform Lifts (IPL)

Ride alongside the staircase — without replacing it.

Inclined Platform Lifts are mounted to an existing staircase and travel along it at an angle, carrying the user and their wheelchair or scooter from bottom to top. Unlike a stairlift, the platform is large enough to accommodate a full-size wheelchair — and the staircase remains fully usable by others when the lift is not in operation.

Ideal for: Wheelchair users who need stair access, homes or buildings where the staircase must remain usable, and spaces where a vertical lift cannot be installed.
